My new hero(ine)

Barbara Walters! Check this out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjZmErjFhK4

"And that's coming from her!" Priceless.

And then her FACE. Her opinion of Hasselbeck is so obvious in the few moments of "The View" that I randomly capture when people I give a crap about are on.

Babwa can give lame softball interviews to celebrities for the rest of her life. I will treasure her for this moment forever.

I can't say that I've ever seen that show before. And had I, I would never admit it. But I watched this little clip and I was intrigued. Doesn't Whoopi sound a lot like this?

When did she turn into Harvey Harvey Fierstein?

Damn it! Why did it post the name Harvey two times?

The "word verification" word is "noble". Weird.

Ok, whatever it is, I missed it. Who's Hasselbeck? I think Rachel Maddow (whom I just saw for the first time) is gorgeous! I wish I looked like that!

Hee hee! The next word is "ponily." Does that mean "in the manner of a pony"? As in "He ran through the meadow, shaking his head ponily"?

OMG Mike, she sounds JUST like that! Whoopi makes me sad these days for a number of reasons, not the least of which being her defense of Michael Vick when he went down.

Ma - Elizabeth Hasselbeck is a pitiful excuse for a human being (she's the younger blonde one, who made the statement about Rachel being respected in her field). She believes (and spouts as Gospel) everything she hears on Fox News; and when a discussion/argument isn't going her way, she cries. Seriously. Rachel, on the other hand, is lovely and authentic and has a mind of her *own*, and she is totally hilarious. She gives Jon Stewart a run for his money!

Trina - I thought you were talking about David Hasselhoff at first. Hasselback! I can't watch it because I don't have sound, but I agree that Rachel Maddow is smart and gorgeous. If I had her face, I would chop all my hair off.

Sara - I thought she was talking about David Hasselhoff, too, so I was confused when I saw BabaWawa sitting at a table with a group of women (LOL). Liz Hasselbeck does, indeed, seem to be a real twit . . . or maybe I should say a true blonde!

Herse is a figure in Greek mythology. Hearse is a ride for dead folk. Originally refering to a flat platform that held candles over the dead. Now we have embalming, so we don't need candles to hide the smell.

Hilarious entry. Hilarious video. I hate "The View." The show is nothing but a bunch of loudmouthed beeyatches trying to talk over each other, over their guests, and being their hoity toity selves. Personally, I hated Barbara Walters after I saw how mean and cold she was toward the girls from "The Girls Next Door." The sad thing was, one of the girls, Bridget, was a Communications major and looked up to Barbara. If you hate someone that much, why would you have them on your show then? I hate "The View."

I worked with someone who was JUST LIKE Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She would:

1. Play country music all day.

2. Says things like, "Oh, I'm a Republican, so I don't believe that there are such things as pollution."

3. Watches FOX News only.

4. Sends those stupid e-mail forwards all day long with stupid fictional stories that are meant to tug at your heartstring, such as:

A) A story about how candy canes were made. Apparently, a man who worked as a church invented candy canes and how the red stripes were supposed to symbolize Jesus' blood.

B) The song "Taps" was written after a Union soldier's son, a Confederate soldier, died in battle and weren't allowed to have a full band at his funeral or whatever. Um...okay.

5) Cries over Bush's speeches and finds everything he said to be very "touching."

Oops, I meant pollutionS.

Oh, sorry if you like Barbara. I just hate the whole show. Lol. ;-)

Tammy - I dislike The View too, and only watched that episode because I knew Rachel was going to be on it (and only watched that segment). I never really had an opinion on Barbara, except that her celeb "interviews" tended to be lame. But the lightning quick snark gave me huge warm fuzzies :~D
