There are/have been coyote sightings in my parents' nighborhood (not urban, but not a country area either!), and a coyote or fox killed the only inside/outside kitty there a few years back. That, plus not trusting other humans, is why my cats will always be indoors-only. Whether they like it or not. It's just not humane to allow them outdoors in this day and age.

crazybunny - Thanks! She is calming down now that she has been on a steady diet of attention, and I'm hoping to get a few pics after her vet appointment tomorrow!

R - Thank you! Nothing warms my heart and soul like making friends with an animal who has no reason to trust me. It makes me feel special and also burdened. Because I *have* to live up to it now. Once I commit myself to the relationship, I have to see it through to the end. But I wouldn't trade the love I'm feeling for a lighter conscience any day. She is in my heart, and therefore under my protection as long as one or both of us is alive. I can't do it any other way.Trinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08711876205793925101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12438564.post-71540345392210004032008-09-26T23:20:00.000-04:002008-09-26T23:20:00.000-04:00Congratulations on earning the trust of another lo...Congratulations on earning the trust of another lost soul, dearest T :) Thank you for this lovely write-up!!risahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04305216616237465981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12438564.post-58474213748442040602008-09-26T15:20:00.000-04:002008-09-26T15:20:00.000-04:00Happy Kitty to You!! We go through pounds of food for the cats per day). Anyhow, there have been coyote sightings on campus since June, and these coyotes have been eating some of our cats. It's sad because the cats are some of the sweetest ones that you'd ever meet. :-(

We do have police officers patrolling the campus to protect the cat (the university has its own police department on campus), but coyotes are smart.Tammy R https://www.blogger.com/profile/05230691058296542682noreply@blogger.com
